Mount Lebanon is on the first floor of 169-171 West Street. Chef Sizar Al-Andari cooks Lebanese food in an open kitchen. The restaurant is open every day, noon until midnight.

169-171 West Street, S1 4EW. One person can sit at the bar. A table goes up to six. The first floor looks onto the street.

Watch it being cooked.

The kitchen is open. You can see the pass from the room. Sizar is usually at the market or at the stove.

There is a main food menu, a shorter menu from 12pm to 5pm, and a wine and drinks list. The prices stay on those pages.

Olive oil, herbs, lamb.

The cooking follows Lebanese practice: grains, vegetables, garlic, fish, chicken and lamb. Hummus and tabbouleh belong on this table.

The chef

He cooked at home before he cooked anywhere else.

Sizar learned beside his mother and grandmother. Grilled lamb, mountain herbs, a family dinner. At 19 he left Lebanon to work in other kitchens. He settled in Sheffield with his family and opened Mount Lebanon in May 2017.
